Tubento Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Tubento (operated by the Twillot team, "We", "Us", "Our") collects, uses and discloses information when You use the Tubento website at https://tubento.app and the Tubento browser extensions (together, the "Service"), and tells You about Your privacy rights.
The short version: the browser extensions run entirely in Your browser and send nothing to Us. The website only stores what You type into the waitlist form. We do not sell data and We do not run third-party advertising.
Interpretation and Definitions
Definitions
Company (referred to as "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to Twillot, the operator of Tubento.
Country refers to: Hong Kong SAR China.
Extension refers to any browser extension published by Us under the Tubento name, including "Ad-blocker Helper for YouTube" (formerly "Youtube Anti-Adblock Bypass").
Website refers to Tubento, accessible from https://tubento.app.
Service refers to the Website and the Extensions.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is acting.
The Extensions
What the Extensions process
The Extensions modify how YouTube pages behave inside Your browser. To do so they read the page You are on and the responses YouTube sends to that page. All of this processing happens locally, on Your device.
What the Extensions store
The Extensions store Your settings (for example whether a feature is on or off and which operating mode was last chosen) using the browser's extension storage. So that the code running inside the YouTube page can read them, a copy of these settings is kept in that page's local storage, together with simple counters such as how many videos started and which playback retry worked (no video titles, IDs or history). A short diagnostic log is kept in memory while the page is open and discarded when it closes. None of this leaves Your browser.
What the Extensions send
The Extensions do not send browsing history, video history, account information or any other data to Us or to third parties. They contain no analytics and no advertising code; the analytics described below apply to the Website only. The only network connections the Extensions open are the ones YouTube itself opens.
If You choose to send feedback from an Extension, it opens Your own email app with a pre-filled message that includes the Extension version, Your browser version and the Extension's current status, so You can see and edit everything before sending.
When You install, update or uninstall an Extension, Your browser may open a page on the Website (for example a welcome page). Those visits are covered by the Website section below.
The Website
Waitlist and contact
If You join the waitlist, We store the email address You provide, the features You vote for, any note You write, the page You submitted from, Your language, the submission time, and a truncated user agent and IP address used only to filter abuse. We use this information to email You when a feature You voted for becomes available and to decide what to build. Submissions are delivered to Us through Web3Forms, a form-to-email service that forwards each entry and does not use it for its own purposes. We do not share it with anyone else.
Usage Data
Like most websites, Our hosting provider records basic request logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). We use them only to keep the Website running and secure.
Analytics
The Website uses PostHog, a product analytics service, to count page views and interactions with the page (clicks on links and buttons, including joining the waitlist, clicking the install button, choosing a language and choosing an uninstall reason). PostHog stores a random identifier in Your browser so repeat visits are not counted twice. We do not record sessions, do not capture keystrokes or form contents, and do not link the identifier to Your email unless You join the waitlist. Analytics requests are sent through Our own domain. PostHog processes this data on Our behalf in the United States under its privacy policy.
Cookies
The Website sets a functional cookie to remember Your language choice and the PostHog identifier described above. Nothing else is set.
Use of Your Personal Data
To provide and maintain the Service, including monitoring its stability.
To contact You about features You asked about through the waitlist. You can stop these emails at any time by replying or by writing to [email protected].
To manage Your requests when You write to Us.
For business transfers, in which case the data stays subject to this policy.
Retention
Waitlist entries are kept until the feature set they relate to has launched or for 24 months, whichever is earlier, unless You ask Us to delete them sooner. Request logs are rotated within 30 days.
Your Rights
You may ask Us to show, correct or delete the Personal Data We hold about You at any time by emailing [email protected]. Because the Extensions store nothing on Our side, there is nothing for Us to delete there; uninstalling the Extension removes its local settings.
Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect Your Personal Data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Age Restriction: The Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 13. If You believe a child has provided Us with Personal Data, contact Us and We will remove it.
Relationship to YouTube
Tubento is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Your use of YouTube remains subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where material, announced on the Website.
